The Polar Small Vessels Alliance(PSVA) is a collaborative, non-profit organisation formed to represent and support operators of small vessels—typically under 150 passengers—working in the Arctic and Antarctic.
As the polar tourism landscape evolves, the need to distinguish and defend the values of small-scale, low-impact travel has never been greater. PSVA exists to:
We believe that smaller vessels offer a deeper, more respectful way to experience the polar regions—one that prioritises access, protection, and legacy.
If you share this vision, we invite you to join us as we shape the future of polar travel—together.
Membership is open to Independent operators, support partners, guides, and organisations who share our commitment to responsible small-scale operations. Members must demonstrate alignment with PSVA’s core values, operate or support vessels with 75% or more of their fleet under 150 passengers, and adhere to established best practices in safety, environmental responsibility, and community engagement.
We strive to stay in communication with our stakeholders. Please find our contact details below.
